Through performances, exhibitions, and community engagement, the festival highlights the
sacred connection between music, nature, and culture. Tribal and folk music is more than
entertainment—it is a way of life rooted in living close to nature, protecting the environment,
supporting community livelihoods, and passing down oral history and traditions. This festival
aims to raise environmental awareness, promote sustainable living, and highlight the role of tribal
communities in caring for the earth and their own well-being

GlobalKulture Music Festival aims to:

Preserve and promote Karnataka’s tribal and folk musical traditions
Highlight voices of underrepresented tribal artists and storytellers

Promote skill development, capacity building, and livelihood opportunities for artists and their communities
Raise awareness of the social, cultural, environmental, and economic challenges faced by tribal communities
Promote environmental awareness and the role of tribal knowledge in protecting nature and encouraging sustainable living
Engage and educate the public through interactive workshops, exhibitions, and performances

Vision

We envision a Karnataka where tribal and folk arts are preserved, celebrated, and passed on to future generations—keeping these living traditions and their message of cultural diversity, protecting nature, uplifting marginalized communities, and supporting sustainable livelihoods alive in the hearts of people.
